In order to text message employees and other resources within ControlBoard® you have to label their phone numbers either "Cell" or "Mobile" (or "cell" or "mobile") as in the attached screenshot:

In Chrome you can choose whether PDF files (reports usually pdf files) like so:

Open the Chrome menu by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner. Click Settings. Open the Privacy and security menu. Select Site Settings. Scroll down and click Additional content settings. Click PDF documents. Select "Open PDFs in Chrome"

You can do the same thing in Firefox:

Open the Firefox menu by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner. Click Settings. Scroll down to Applications and set Portable Document Format (PDF) to "Open in Firefox"

Other browsers will have different places to set this. Feel free to post how-to's in the comments.

Probably because of how your filters are set. The Resource List has a little arrow at the right. Click the arrow or anywhere in the top panel to open your filters. This is how you show only the resources that you want to see.

Note that there is a Scheduled filter, and it is probably set to Unscheduled. This means that when you schedule a resource, it's removed from the list. You can confirm this by dragging a resource to the job grid. It will disappear from the Resource List. Drag the allocation to the trash, and the resource will reappear.

If you want to see both Scheduled and Unscheduled resources in the Resource List, set the filter to All and click Apply.

Most screens in ControlBoard have a similar filter list, and they all work the same way. If you're not seeing something you expect to see, the filters are the first place to look.

There are three basic entities in ControlBoard -- jobs, resources, and allocations. You know what a job is, it's just a project you're working on. A resource is anything you can assign to a job -- labor, equipment, material, subcontractors, or crews.

An allocation is just the interaction of a job and a resource. It's an assignment of a resource to a job for a certain period of time.

The schedule screens in ControlBoard are all designed to do one thing: allocate resources. On the job schedule, you can drag resources to jobs. On the resource schedule, you can drag jobs to resources. On the crew schedule, you can drag jobs to crews, thus scheduling every resource in that crew at once. In every case you're doing the same thing -- allocating resources.

For example, open the Job Schedule (Schedule > JobSchedule from the menu at the top left). You'll see a list of resources in the left-hand column and a grid of jobs to its right. Each column in the grid represents a day. Drag a resource from the left to any cell in the grid. You've just allocated a resource. Drag the resource to a different job, or a different day. Click several resources on the left and drag them to the grid all at once. Remove an allocation by dragging it to the trash can at the top left.

Congratulations! You now know how to schedule in ControlBoard.
